Win tickets to sold out Rediscover: event

The 2013 Rediscover: Catholic Celebration is now sold out and registration is closed. A total of 5,000 tickets were sold for the event set for Oct. 12 at the St. Paul RiverCentre.

Two tickets to the event, however, will be given away during “The Rediscover: Hour” on Relevant Radio 1330 AM on Sept. 27 at 9 a.m.

The winner will receive two tickets to the event, two box lunches for the day of the event, two copies of the book, “Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic” by Matthew Kelly, and two copies of the CD, “The Seven Pillars of Catholic Spirituality” by Matthew Kelly.

For those unable to attend the event, Relevant Radio will broadcast live from the RiverCentre from noon to 4 p.m.

There also will be audio and video of most of the day’s speakers available on the Rediscover: website by Nov. 1.

Save the date for the 2014 Rediscover: Catholic Celebration, set for Oct. 3-4 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Information will be available in early 2014 on the Rediscover: website and on “The Rediscover: Hour” on Relevant Radio.

Candlelight Rosary Procession is Oct. 4

The 11th annual Candlelight Rosary Procession will take place Oct. 4, beginning at the State Capitol and continuing to the Cathedral of St. Paul.

People are asked to gather at the Capitol at 6:30 p.m., with the procession beginning at 7. The event will conclude inside the Cathedral with a brief service, and is scheduled to end at 8:30 p.m.

Father John Paul Erickson, director of the archdiocesan Office of Worship, will lead the procession. He will lead prayers to invoke the Blessed Mother’s intercession as participants pray for the intentions of Pope Francis, for priests, for holiness and peace in families and in the world.
