Parish recommits to sanctuary; archbishop says immigration a pro-life issue

St. William Church in Louisville reaffirmed its status as a sanctuary parish at a news conference on the steps of the church Oct. 8.

St. Thomas More is the archdiocese’s first immigrant sanctuary parish

According to a March 27 statement, the parish is especially interested in helping immigrants in cases that “would separate parents from their children or would separate people brought to the United States as children from the only homes they have ever truly known.”
