Archbishop John Nienstedt will present the Champions for Life awards during a lunch that begins at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the University Club in St. Paul. Father Andrew Cozzens of the St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity will give a keynote address.
This is the third year the Office of Marriage, Family and Life has recognized pro-life volunteers in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
Judges selected recipients in four categories: church/ school/Catholic affiliated group, couple/family, adult and youth.
Recipients are: Respect Life Groups of South Central Minnesota; Bernadine and Merlyn Scroggins of Holy Childhood in St. Paul; fifth-grade teacher Virginia Sullivan from Nativity of Our Lord School in St. Paul; and Patti Durham from St. John the Baptist in Savage.
