His Excellency, the Most Reverend John C. Nienstedt, has announced the following appointments in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

Effective November 19, 2013

• The Most Reverend Lee Piché to serve “ad nutum episcopi” as parochial administrator of the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Maplewood, succeeding the Reverend Peter Laird.

Effective November 20, 2013

• The Reverend Charles Lachowitzer appointed Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia, succeeding the Most Reverend Lee Piché. Reverend Lachowitzer will continue in his appointment as pastor of the Church of Saint John Neumann until November 30.

Effective November 25, 2013

• Deacon Thomas Michaud appointed “ad nutum episcopi” to exercise the ministry of a permanent deacon at the Church of Divine Mercy in Faribault.

Effective November 28, 2013

• Accepted the resignation of the Reverend William Martin as pastor of the Church of Saint Richard in Richfield, and granted the status of a retired priest.

Effective December 2, 2013

• The Reverend Michael Kueber appointed to serve “ad nutum episcopi” as parochial administrator of the Church of Saint Olaf. Reverend Kueber will no longer have ministerial responsibilities at the Church of Saint Stephen in Minneapolis.

• The Reverend David McCauley appointed to serve “ad nutum episcopi” as parochial administrator of the Church of Saint John Neumann.

Effective December 9, 2013

• Accepted the resignation of the Reverend Mark Pavlik as pastor of the Church of Saint Olaf in Minneapolis (effective December 2), and appointed pastor of the Church of Saint Richard in Richfield. This appointment will extend until June 30, 2020.
