Conference to explore relationship between prayer, mission

The archdiocesan Center for Mission is among the organizations sponsoring the conference “Seeking the Face of God,” which will explore the connection between prayer and mission. The conference will be held Thursday, Nov. 4, at Mary, Mother of the Church, 3333 Cliff Road, in Burnsville from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Keynote presenters include Father John Kaserow, a Maryknoll priest who has ministered in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China; and Sister Judy Gomila, a member of the Marianite Sisters of the Holy Cross who is an educational consultant with the National Pontifical Mission Societies and is a board member of the United States Catholic Mission Association.

Workshop presenters will include Father Paul Feela, pastor of Lumen Christi in St. Paul; Sister Judy Gomila; Maryknoll Father John Kaserow; Jesuit Father Matthew Linn; Dick Rice; Benedictine Sister Mary White; and Jackie Witter.

Registration costs $35 per person. Student tickets cost $15. Attendees are encouraged to register before Oct. 25.
