What an informative and interesting article on secular institutes and the consecrated life which was published in the April 9 issue of The Catholic Spirit. In today’s world it seems that this life would be especially suitable for many young women and men.

Thank you Maria Wiering for writing this article and for a clear explanation of what constitutes a secular institute. I have kept the article and will find it helpful (as a spiritual director) to share it with those who might be discerning some sort of religious life other than consecration in a traditional religious community.
