Families reap rewards from pay it forward in Lakeville

The fifth-grade faith formation class at All Saints in Lakeville, led by Liz Townley, recently heard from the recipients of their 2011 Pay it Forward for Lent project, which raised $520 through a bake sale and hot dog dinner.

Sister Anthony, executive director of community services in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, sent along the following note and photos.

“Elizabeth, here are two pictures taken at a Family Fun Day in Port Sulphur, an area hit very hard by the oil spill. This day brought together families for fun, food and activities. Your gift helped us purchase crafts. We will be doing many activities like this for families and children over the summer months with the funds you raised. We will send more pictures but I wanted to get these off to you quickly. Again, thank you from all of us.”
