Archdiocesan Marriage Day

Archbishop John Nienstedt honored married couples, especially those celebrating silver and golden anniversaries, during the annual Marriage Day Celebration June 8 at the Cathedral of St. Paul.

 

Denny and Judy O’Hagan, members of St. Mary of the Lake in Plymouth, shared a kiss after renewing their marriage vows during the Mass. The O’Hagans have been married 50 years. “He makes me laugh,” Judy said when asked the secret to a good marriage. “A lot of humor and wonderful children and grandchildren,” Denny added.

75-year marriage builds on daily habit of love and respect

Anne and Robb Turner, members of both St. John Neumann in Eagan and St. Joseph in Rosemount, who celebrated their 17th anniversary on June 8, held hands as they listened to Archbishop Niensted’s homily during the Archdiocesan Marriage Day celebration.
