The priests defeated a team consisting of seminarians from the St. Paul Seminary 48-47 in overtime to claim the championship. The seminarians earned the right to play the priests, which included men from the Archdiocese plus two from the Diocese of St. Cloud, by defeating the St. John Vianney team 57-45. The event also included a three-point shooting contest between games.
