Islanders, Lions capture state girls basketball titles

Providence Academy (Plymouth) players are all hugs after winning the Class AA state championship March 17 at Target Center in Minneapolis. Ranked No. 1 in AA all year, the Lions capped their season with a 46-40 win over Sauk Centre in the finals. They finished the season with a record of 27-4, and captured their first state title.
