Father Gerald Keefe, who died March 19 at the age of 93, is being remembered as a kind and humble priest, pastor and spiritual director.

Cardinal Edward M. Egan, who retired as archbishop of New York in 2009, died March 5. The cause of death was cardiac arrest. He was 82.
After collapsing at his residence that afternoon, he was taken to NYU Langone Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead at 2:20 p.m.

Faith in God, not altruistic ideals, shaped the life of Wayzata business leader and philanthropist David Koch, Father Michael Van Sloun said at his funeral Mass Jan. 9. The retired Graco Inc. chief executive officer and board chairman died Jan. 1 at age 84.
“He reached out to Catholic educators in our archdiocese to share with others what we were doing in Catholic education,” recalled Gary Wilmer, who is director of personnel and planning for the archdiocese’s Office of Catholic Schools.
Franciscan Father Edward Sabo, 72, associate pastor of St. Gerard Majella in Brooklyn Park, died Aug. 22, less than two weeks before he had planned to retire.
