Archbishop Bernard Hebda has announced the following appointments in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis:

May 2, 2017

Reverend Hilary M. Khanh Hai Nguyen, Congregation of Mother Co-Redemptrix, appointed pastor of the Church of Saint Anne – Saint Joseph Hien in Minneapolis. He replaces Reverend Vincent Thanh Au, CMC, who has been reassigned outside of the Archdiocese by his religious superior.

June 1, 2017

Reverend Fernando Ortega, appointed parochial vicar of the Church of the Incarnation in Minneapolis. This is a transfer from his assignment as pastor of the Church of the Guardian Angels in Chaska.

Reverend William Deziel, appointed parochial administrator of the Church of the Guardian Angels in Chaska. This is in addition to his assignment as pastor of the Church of Saint Peter in North Saint Paul.

July 1, 2017

Reverend James Devorak, appointed parochial vicar of the Church of Saint Rose of Lima and the Church of Corpus Christi in Roseville. This is a transfer from his assignment as parochial administrator of the Church of Saint Gerard in Brooklyn Park.

Reverend William Deziel, appointed pastor of the Church of the Guardian Angels in Chaska. This is following his assignment as parochial administrator of the same parish, and a transfer from his assignment as pastor of the Church of Saint Peter in North Saint Paul.

Reverend Matthew Northenscold, appointed parochial vicar of the Church of Divine Mercy in Faribault. This is a transfer from his assignment as parochial vicar of the Church of Saint Peter in North Saint Paul.

Reverend David Ostrowski, appointed pastor of the Church of Saint William in Fridley. This is a transfer from his assignment as pastor of the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Minnetonka.

Retirements Effective July 1, 2017

Reverend John Malone, released from his assignment as pastor of the Church of the Assumption in Saint Paul and granted the status of a retired priest. Father Malone has served the Archdiocese as a priest since his ordination in 1967.

Reverend Frank Wampach, released from his assignment as pastor of the Church of Saint Francis Xavier in Franconia and the Church of Saint Joseph in Taylors Falls and granted the status of a retired priest. Father Wampach has served the Archdiocese as a priest since his ordination in 1984.
