Tommies beat Johnnies in first-ever playoff meeting

For the second time this season, the University of St. Thomas and St. John’s University football teams squared off Nov. 28 at St. Thomas in the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs. It was the first time the two teams have met in the playoffs. Like the first meeting between the historic rivals in October, the Tommies prevailed, advancing to the quarterfinal round with a 38-19 win.
